     据官方统计数字显示，2011年度英国给中国留学生发放了44000个学生签证，较之2010年增加了20%，仅次于美国位列全球第二位。
    
    
     PSW签证改革有利中国学生
    
     2012年4月，英使馆将取消PSW签证类别。PSW签证取消后，国际学生若希望留在英国就业，只需在当地找到年薪2万英镑以上的全日制工作，且雇主可提供工作担保，即可申请工作签证继续留英工作。
    
     专家分析，新政策要求必须找到正规工作和合法雇佣单位才能申请签证，有一部分专业不合适的留学生由此会更早回国，更快找到自己的位置。一般而言优秀的国际学生基本上毕业前就搞定工作，所以PSW签证的取消对留英学生并无明显影响。
    
     语言要求提高
    
     政策规定：一些大学和教育集团的语言测试将不被英使馆承认，所有学习6级（本科）及以上阶段课程的学生必须拥有B2英语水平；所有低于6级课程的学生必须拥有B1英语水平；所有学习非大学课程的学生在签证申请时必须出具独立测试机构出具的英语考试成绩并达到签证相关要求；学习本科及以上阶段课程的学生可以由大学评定其英语水平。大学教务长可以为某些特殊情况的学生单独申请免于以上英语成绩限制。
    
     新政提高对留学生的英语水平要求，也让中国学生留学更注重规划和提前准备，更加懂得理性选择。至于上半年闹得沸沸扬扬的大学学费上涨事件，也只是针对英国本国学生和欧盟学生的学费大幅上涨，英国政府并未提高留学生的学费，再加上英镑汇率不断下降，这些综合因素造成了目前英国留学人数达到历史最高水平。
